Question 1

What is La Ruleta Caliente?

Accepted Answer

It’s a random 1-to-1 video chat for adults only (18+). We connect you with another person online and, if there’s no chemistry, you move on to the next one. There may be nudity between consenting adults.

Question 2

Is it free?

Accepted Answer

Yes 🌶️. The random video chat is free. With Premium you can choose who to see, use filters, and get history and friends with calls.

Question 3

How do I start chatting?

Accepted Answer

No sign-up needed: tell us what you are and your date of birth, confirm you’re 18 or over and accept the rules. Then press “Start”, allow your camera and we’ll connect you with someone instantly. Creating an account (email or Google) is optional: it keeps your progress on any device and you need one to pay for Premium.

Question 4

Why do I have to be over 18?

Accepted Answer

Because it’s an adults-only site and there may be nudity between consenting people. When you come in you enter your date of birth and, if it’s under 18, you can’t get in. Minors can’t use it, no exceptions.

Question 5

Which languages is the site available in?

Accepted Answer

The site is in Spanish, English, Portuguese, French, German and Italian; you can switch with the language selector. Text chat can be translated into any language.

Question 6

Who is Guindilla? Am I talking to a person?

Accepted Answer

I’m Guindilla 🌶️, a bot that automatically answers frequently asked questions in the help center (/ayuda). I’m not a person. If you need the team, write from the Contact page (/contacto).

Question 7

How do Start, Next and Stop work?

Accepted Answer

“Start” connects you with someone at random. “Next” (or the Esc key) takes you to another person instantly. “Stop” ends the video chat.

Question 8

Can I talk to someone who speaks another language?

Accepted Answer

Sure! Text chat has automatic translation. If you speak different languages, press “Translate” under each message.

Question 9

What are the “Like” and “Love” reactions?

Accepted Answer

During the chat you can send 👍 “Like” or ❤️ “Love”, and the other person gets a shower of emojis. The likes you receive show up on your chat profile.

Question 10

What does the other person see about me?

Accepted Answer

They see your chat name (if you set one, it’s optional), your age, what you are, your country flag and your likes. They never see your email or date of birth.

Question 11

What should I do if my camera or microphone doesn’t work?

Accepted Answer

Allow camera and microphone in your browser (padlock icon next to the address) and close other apps using them, like Zoom or WhatsApp. Use an up-to-date Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge (Safari on iPhone) and reload the page.

Question 12

How do I switch cameras?

Accepted Answer

Press the button shown over your own image. That switches between the front and back camera, or whichever one you have connected.

Question 13

Why does my image look mirrored?

Accepted Answer

That’s normal: you see yourself mirrored, like in any video call. The other person sees you the right way round.

Question 14

Is there an app? How do I install it?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can install the site as an app with the “Install app” button. On iPhone, open the site in Safari and tap Share → Add to Home Screen.

Question 15

When will I be asked to verify my age?

Accepted Answer

To get in, with or without an account, declaring you’re over 18 is enough. If someone reports you for “looks underage” or the team asks, you leave the chat and must verify with your ID card or passport and a selfie via Veriff, a specialised company. We don’t keep your document or the date Veriff reads; if you turn out to be a minor, the account is banned.

Question 16

Are video calls recorded? Is it private?

Accepted Answer

We don’t record anything. Video is end-to-end encrypted and goes through our server so nobody sees your IP. Messages aren’t stored, except the last 30 of a reported conversation, as evidence.

Question 17

Can someone record me or take screenshots?

Accepted Answer

It’s forbidden. Every video carries an invisible watermark with the viewer’s code, so if someone records, we know who. The video blurs if the other person leaves the window or presses Print Screen, and we warn you. No site can 100% prevent recording with another device: only show what you want.

Question 18

Someone recorded me or posted my video. What do I do?

Accepted Answer

Write to us as soon as possible from Contact (/contacto): thanks to the watermark we can tell who recorded. If it has been spread, in Spain you can use the AEPD Priority Channel (Canal prioritario) to request removal. You can also use StopNCII.org to help stop it being shared on other platforms.

Question 19

How do I report someone during the chat?

Accepted Answer

Press “Report” (the flag at the top right) and choose the reason: mockery or insults, harassment, recording or screenshots without permission, homophobia or transphobia, looks underage, illegal content or another reason. The conversation ends and you won’t be matched again.

Question 20

What happens after a report?

Accepted Answer

The conversation ends, you won’t be matched again and the team reviews the report; the last 30 messages are kept as evidence. If 3 different people report someone within 24 h, they’re automatically suspended for 24 h (2 are enough for minors or illegal content).

Question 21

I’ve been suspended or banned. Can I appeal?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Sanctions can be a temporary suspension or a ban, and the reason is always explained. Press “Appeal the decision” in the window that appears when you log in; the team reviews it and replies by email.

Question 22

How do I block or unblock someone?

Accepted Answer

You can block from your friends, your history or friend requests. That person won’t be matched with you again or be able to call you. To unblock, go to My account → Blocked people.

Question 23

Someone is harassing or insulting me. What should I do?

Accepted Answer

Don’t engage: press “Report” with the right reason and the conversation ends instantly. If it’s a friend, block them so they can’t call you. If it continues or is serious, write to us from Contact (/contacto).

Question 24

What safety tips do you have?

Accepted Answer

Don’t share personal details like your full name, address, phone number or social media. Only show what you want, because nobody can 100% prevent recording with another device. If you don’t like something, press “Next” or “Report”.

Question 25

What does Premium include?

Accepted Answer

Choose who to see (women, men, trans or couples), filters by country, “near me” and age range, 30-day chat history and friends: see who’s online and call them; inviting to games and sending compliments; and free superpowers every day (unlimited Rewind, Incognito and Second chance, plus 1 Hot flame and 3 Super hellos). Without Premium, the video chat is free and random. And you can earn free Premium days by inviting friends (1 day each) or reaching the weekly ranking podium 🎁.

Question 26

How do I earn Premium by inviting a friend? 🤝

Accepted Answer

In “My account” you have your personal invite link (laruletacaliente.com/?ref=YOURCODE) with a button to share or copy it. Your friend has to open the link and join as a NEW user, as a guest or with an account (the invite is recorded in the first 24 hours of their account). Once they have created an account (or turned their guest account into one) and had their first conversation lasting more than 1 minute, you both get 1 day of Premium each. Limits: up to 10 rewarded invitations per person per calendar month; it doesn’t count if both accounts were created from the same internet connection (to prevent inviting yourself); and each person can only be invited once. Cheating (fake accounts, self-invites) can mean losing the gifted days and sanctions.

Question 27

What prizes does the weekly ranking give? 🏆

Accepted Answer

Every Monday, the 3 people who earned the most chilis the previous week (Monday to Sunday, UTC) get gifted Premium: 1st place 7 days, 2nd 3 days and 3rd 1 day. Everyone competes, including people who ticked “Don’t appear in the ranking” (you can stay hidden and still win); banned accounts are excluded. The days add up to any gifted days you already have, and you get a notice to celebrate 🎉.

Question 28

How much does Premium cost?

Accepted Answer

There are two plans: weekly, €7.99 every 7 days, and monthly, €19.99 every 30 days. During the launch period Premium may be free for a while, and you’re always notified before being charged.

Question 29

How can I pay? What appears on my bank statement?

Accepted Answer

Payments are processed by Segpay, which is why “Segpay” appears on your statement. You can pay by card, Google Pay or Apple Pay (renewing subscription) or with cryptocurrency (one-off payment, no renewal).

Question 30

How do I cancel my Premium subscription?

Accepted Answer

Go to My account → Premium → Manage, or visit cs.segpay.com. You can cancel whenever you want and keep Premium until the end of the paid period. Crypto payments don’t renew, so there’s nothing to cancel.

Question 31

Can I get a refund?

Accepted Answer

Because Premium activates instantly, when you pay you accept losing the 14-day withdrawal right. We refund duplicate charges, unauthorised charges, or a technical fault on our side that stops you using Premium and isn’t fixed within 72 h; ask support within 30 days. Crypto only where the law requires it, and accounts banned for breaking the rules get no refund.

Question 32

How do the country, “near me” and age filters work?

Accepted Answer

They’re Premium features. You can pick a country, “near me” (about 100 km, roughly estimated from your connection) and an age range: 18–24, 25–34, 35–44 or 45+. Since location is approximate, it won’t always be exact.

Question 33

How do friends and history work?

Accepted Answer

With Premium you can press “Add friend” during the chat or from your history (30 days), and the other person accepts or declines; you aren’t notified if they decline. Without Premium you can accept friend requests and answer calls from friends.

Question 34

How do I call a friend?

Accepted Answer

With Premium you see which friends are online and can call them. Your friend sees “X is calling you” and has 30 seconds to answer. Answering calls is free.

Question 35

How do I turn on notifications?

Accepted Answer

Turn them on in My account → Notifications and allow the browser permission when asked. We’ll alert you on your phone or computer when someone calls you, sends a friend request or a friend comes online. On iPhone you need the app installed (Share → Add to Home Screen).

Question 36

Can I sign up with Google, Apple or Facebook?

Accepted Answer

Yes, as well as with email and password. Remember an account is optional: you can use the chat without signing up, and you only need one to keep your progress on other devices or pay for Premium. If you log in with Google, Apple or Facebook, your email is already confirmed. We’ll still ask what you are, your date of birth and to accept the rules.

Question 37

How do I confirm my email?

Accepted Answer

When you sign up with email we send you a confirmation link: just click it. If you can’t see it, check spam or promotions. If you signed in with Google, Apple or Facebook, it’s already confirmed.

Question 38

I forgot my password. What do I do?

Accepted Answer

Press “Forgot your password?” on the login screen and we’ll send you a link valid for 1 hour to set a new one. If your account uses Google, Apple or Facebook, you can also create a password this way.

Question 39

How do I change my chat name?

Accepted Answer

Go to My account and edit your “Chat name”. It’s optional and it’s what the other person sees. Better not to use your full name.

Question 40

How do I change my password or email?

Accepted Answer

Go to My account and choose “Change password” or “Change email”. If you don’t remember your current password, use “Forgot your password?” on the login screen.

Question 41

How do I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

Go to My account → Delete account. Your data is erased; only payment records are kept, without personal data. If you have a renewing Premium plan, cancel it first in My account → Premium → Manage.

Question 42

How do I contact support and how long do you take?

Accepted Answer

Use the form on the Contact page (/contacto) or write to soporte@laruletacaliente.com. We reply in about 48 working hours, in Spanish or English.

Question 43

What data do you keep and how do I download mine?

Accepted Answer

Download them in My account → Download my data (JSON file). We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies. We keep history for 30 days, sign-up IP for 90 days and report evidence for 180 days.

Question 44

Can I report illegal content without an account?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Anyone can report it from the “Report content” page (/denunciar-contenido), a public form under the Digital Services Act (DSA). Authorities can write to legal@laruletacaliente.com.

Question 45

Do you use cookies?

Accepted Answer

Only the ones the site needs to work: keeping you logged in, remembering your language and that you are 18+, and a 10-minute security cookie when you sign in with Google, Apple or Facebook. No ads or tracking, and statistics are anonymous and cookie-free. That is why we don't ask you to accept a cookie banner. Full list in the Cookie policy (/cookies).

Question 46

Why do I see ads? Can I remove them?

Accepted Answer

Ads help keep the video chat free. They never cover the video: there is one on the home page and one beside the chat on large screens, always labelled “Advertisement”. With Premium you see no ads. Advertising cookies are only used if you accept them; you can change this in “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the home page.

Question 47

Can I make the other person bigger or change my own box?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Tap the view button (the rectangle next to “Stop”): you can make your box smaller or bigger, swap the boxes (see yourself big and the other person small), use wide view, which hides the text chat and shows messages over the video, or go full screen. Shortcut: double-click the small box to swap. It is remembered for next time.

Question 48

What is spicy mode and how do I turn it on?

Accepted Answer

It is an optional mode for those who want to turn up the heat: it unlocks the Spicy and Extra spicy levels in the games and the compliments (ready-made, always positive messages you send with one tap from the 🌶️ button on the video). It is off by default: turn it on or off whenever you like with the switch in the chat side panel or in “My account → Privacy”. It only works if both people have it on. Sending compliments requires Premium; without Premium you can still receive them. Compliments you receive show briefly as emojis rising along the edges of the video, with a small notice below it, without covering the other person. Every compliment you receive is counted in your account, and you decide with the option “Show the compliments I receive to the people I talk to” (off by default) whether others see your top compliments.

Question 49

What games are there during the video chat?

Accepted Answer

During a conversation, tap the 🎲 button on the video to invite the other person to play “Truth or dare” (with three levels: Mild, Spicy and Extra spicy), “Would you rather?”, “Rock, paper, scissors” or “Draw & guess”. Inviting someone to a game requires Premium; without Premium you can still accept the invitations you get and play. It is always by invitation and the other person has to accept. The game appears in a strip below the video, so it never covers the other person. You can skip any card (“Skip”) without explaining why, and either of you can end the game at any moment. The Spicy and Extra spicy levels only work if you both have spicy mode on. Each game gives each of you +2 chilis. Nothing is mandatory and nudity is always optional; pressuring or insisting can be reported. You’ll find the full guide to games and powers at /en/games.

Question 50

How do you play “Draw & guess”?

Accepted Answer

It is the fourth game in the 🎲 button. Inviting requires Premium; anyone can accept. It has three levels: Mild, Spicy and Extra spicy (the last two only if you both have spicy mode on). One person draws a secret word on a paper board that appears in the strip below the video (8 colours, 3 pen sizes and a button to clear it) and the other types their guesses. Each round lasts 80 seconds and the first letter appears at half time. Guesses in any of the 6 languages count, and accents and capitals don’t matter; if you are nearly right, a “So close!” notice appears. The person drawing sees the wrong guesses float up. When someone guesses right, each of you gets +1 point on the scoreboard and +2 chilis; then you can tap “Swap turns”. Drawings and guesses are not stored.

Question 51

What is the chemistry thermometer 🌡️?

Accepted Answer

It is a slim bar between the video and the games strip that heats up during each conversation. It is for everyone and free. It rises with the time you’ve been talking (up to 4 minutes), ❤️ and 👍, compliments, games, matches in “Would you rather?”, correct drawings and chat messages. A message appears at 50°, 80° and 100°; at 100° there is a “chemistry explosion” and you both get +5 chilis (once per conversation). Each explosion counts towards the 🌡️ Chemistry badge, earned after 5. It starts at 0 with each new person and nothing is stored except the explosion counter for the badge.

Question 52

What is the Hot hour 🔥?

Accepted Answer

Every day from 22:00 to 23:00 (Spanish time) every chili you earn counts double (×2). The daily cap of 120 still applies and the daily login reward is not doubled. While it lasts, the 🌶️ pill in the header glows and shows “×2”, and the “Chilis and powers” panel shows a banner with the minutes left or, when it is not on, the local time when the next one starts. When it starts, everyone connected gets a notice.

Question 53

How does the weekly ranking 🏆 work?

Accepted Answer

In the “Ranking” tab of the “Chilis and powers” panel you see the 10 people who have earned the most chilis since Monday (the week runs Monday to Sunday, UTC, and the ranking starts from zero every week). For each one it shows their chat name (or “Anonymous” if they have none), their latest badges and the chilis earned; the top three get 🥇🥈🥉. You also see your own position, “#n of total”. If you don’t want others to see you, tick “Don’t appear in the ranking”: you will still see your own position. Prizes 🎁: every Monday, the top 3 of the previous week win gifted Premium (1st 7 days, 2nd 3 days, 3rd 1 day); hidden people compete too.

Question 54

What are the conversation starters 💡?

Accepted Answer

When you connect with someone, Guindilla suggests a question above the chat box (there are 50, in all 6 languages; the flirty ones only appear if you both have spicy mode on). 🔀 gives you another one and, if you tap the question, it is sent as your chat message. It disappears as soon as you type.

Question 55

What are chilis 🌶️ and how do I get them?

Accepted Answer

Chilis are the site’s points. You earn them for free just by using it: logging in every day (5 per streak day, up to 30), playing a game (+2 each player), receiving a ❤️ (+1), receiving a compliment (+2), each conversation longer than 1 minute (+1), a correct guess in Draw & guess (+2 each), a chemistry explosion (+5) and weekly challenges (+50 each). You can earn at most 120 per day, not counting challenges or the daily reward. During the 🔥 Hot hour (every day from 22:00 to 23:00, Spanish time) every chili counts double (×2). You see them in the 🌶️ pill in the header; tapping it opens the “Chilis and powers” panel. They are used to activate superpowers. They cannot be bought with money, have no money value, cannot be transferred and there are no random or paid prizes.

Question 56

What superpowers are there and how much do they cost?

Accepted Answer

You activate them from the “Chilis and powers” panel (🌶️ pill in the header) and pay with chilis: 🔥 Hot flame (30): for 15 minutes you appear earlier in the queue. ↩️ Rewind (20): after you tap “Next” or if the other person leaves, a ↩️ button appears for 15 seconds to ask to reconnect with the previous person; it only works if they accept and are searching. 💌 Super hello (10): a highlighted greeting of up to 140 characters that the next person sees as soon as you connect; it is charged when delivered. 🕶️ Incognito (15): 1 hour without showing your age or country. 👀 Second chance (15): see who gave you ❤️ in the last 24 hours and add them as a friend. Premium includes unlimited Rewind, Incognito and Second chance, plus 1 Hot flame and 3 Super hellos free per day.

Question 57

How do the streak 🔥, weekly challenges and badges work?

Accepted Answer

Streak 🔥: it goes up by one every day you log in; if you skip a day, it starts over. Weekly challenges: every week (Monday to Sunday, UTC) there are 3 challenges, the same for everyone, for example talking with people from 3 countries, playing 5 games, getting 10 ❤️, having 15 conversations, winning 3 times at rock, paper, scissors or matching 5 times in “Would you rather?”; each gives +50 chilis. Badges (9): 🧊 Icebreaker (10 games), 🏆 Winner (10 rock-paper-scissors wins), 💞 Soulmates (20 matches in “Would you rather?”), 🌍 Polyglot (5 countries), 🗣️ Social (100 conversations), 💘 Heartbreaker (50 ❤️), 🌶️ Spicy (25 compliments received), 🔥 On fire (7-day streak) and 🌡️ Chemistry (5 chemistry explosions on the thermometer). Your 3 latest badges appear next to your name for the people you talk to. Everything is in the “Chilis and powers” panel.

Question 58

What is “Would you talk to that person again?”?

Accepted Answer

After a conversation of at least 20 seconds you can answer yes or no, if you want. Your answer is private: nobody sees the answers, not even the other person. We only keep two counters (yes and no) in the rated account, not who answered. Accounts with at least 10 answers and more than 60 % “no” are matched last in the queue. The administrator can see the percentage. It helps improve matching and safety.

Question 59

What are tips and coins 🪙? How do I send a tip?

Accepted Answer

Coins 🪙 let you give a tip to the person you’re talking to, as a voluntary gift. This feature may not be available yet: it only appears if the site has it switched on. You buy coins in “My account → Wallet” in one-time packs (for example, 50 coins for €5.99), paid through Segpay. During a video chat, tap the 🪙 button, pick 10, 25, 50 or 100 coins (or any amount from 1 to 1,000) and tap Send. Coins are not money, cannot be exchanged for money and are not refunded, except where the law requires it. There is a daily limit on the coins you can give, and you can’t tip someone who has turned tips off.

Question 60

How do tip earnings work and how do I withdraw them?

Accepted Answer

If the site has tips switched on (it may not yet), for each coin you receive you earn its value minus the site’s fee; in “My account → Wallet” you can see how much you earn per coin and the exact fee. Earnings are held for a few days (the Wallet shows how many) in case the sender’s payment is reversed, and then become “Available”. To withdraw, you must reach the minimum shown, verify your identity once with Veriff (ID document and selfie) and fill in the account holder, IBAN, your address, country, tax ID number and date of birth: the law requires us to collect these details and report them to the tax authorities (DAC7). We send the money by bank transfer and let you know when it’s paid; if we reject a withdrawal, you’ll see why. Only one withdrawal can be pending at a time. Declaring what you earn is your responsibility. If you don’t want to receive tips, turn off “Accept tips from other people”.

Question 61

Someone is asking me for tips in exchange for doing something on camera. What should I do?

Accepted Answer

Don’t pay, and report it with the Report button. Never pay for someone to do something on camera: offering or demanding sexual acts, undressing or content in exchange for tips is forbidden, and so is asking or begging for tips, pressuring, making promises, threatening or asking for payments outside the site. Tips are always a voluntary gift and are final: they are not refunded, so we can’t get back a tip you’ve already sent. If someone threatens to share images of you unless you pay, don’t pay, report it and go to the police. Anyone who abuses tips is banned and loses any earnings still on hold. (Tips only exist if the site has them switched on.)
