An OmeTV alternative for chatting across languages
OmeTV is one of the random video chat sites people mention when they want to meet new faces. If you’re looking for an OmeTV alternative, here’s what La Ruleta Caliente has to offer: live 1-on-1 video with people from all over the world, a text chat that translates for you, and nothing to download. It’s an independent site, open to adults 18+ only.
Jump in free, no sign-up needed, and meet someone new in seconds.
Talk to the world, even without a shared language
One of the joys of random video chat is landing on someone from a country you’ve never visited. The problem is often language. On La Ruleta Caliente, the text chat translates automatically: you write in English, the other person reads it in their language, and their reply comes back to you in English. It’s not perfect for jokes, but it’s more than enough to swap stories, ask about the view outside their window or arrange a game.
The site itself is available in Spanish, English, Portuguese, French, German and Italian, so the person you meet is likely using it in their own language too.
Games that need no translation
When words fail, play. Rock, paper, scissors is universal. Draw & guess is all pictures. Would you rather? gives you two options to pick from, which is easy even through a translation. There’s even a weekly challenge for talking to people from three different countries, and a Polyglot badge to show off.

Different time zones, different crowds
Because people join from many countries, who you meet depends a lot on when you log in. Your morning is someone else’s late night, so try different times of day and you’ll notice a different mix of languages and moods. Regulars also like Hot hour, from 10 to 11 pm Spanish time, when every chili earned counts double — a fun reason to be online at the same moment as everyone else.
On your phone or your laptop
Use it wherever you are. On a phone, open the site in your browser and, if you like, add it to your home screen so it opens like an app. You can switch between front and back camera in one tap. On a computer, the Esc key works as Next, which makes moving through matches quick. See our page on mobile video chat for phone tips.
Chatting internationally, safely
Meeting people far away is fun, but keep the usual caution: don’t share your address, workplace or social media accounts with someone you just met, and be suspicious of anyone who brings up money. Your IP is hidden because video passes through our server, and recording is forbidden. If someone crosses a line, report them and a member of our team will review it. Our safety tips are worth two minutes of your time.
