Video chat in Canada, in English or en français

Bilingual by design

The site is available in English and French (plus Spanish, Portuguese, German and Italian), so you can switch to whichever you prefer. In the text chat, messages are translated automatically: an anglophone in Calgary and a francophone in Québec City can chat without either needing to switch languages, and the same goes for someone in Brazil or Italy. It’s also a relaxed way to practise your French — or your English — with a real person.

Near you or across the country

Canada is huge, so “someone in Canada” could be five time zones away. Free matches are random and worldwide. With Premium, the My country filter keeps your matches in Canada, and the distance filter narrows them to people around you, which is handy whether you’re in Toronto or a small town. You can also set an age range and choose to see women, men, trans people or couples. Prefer the surprise? Leave the filters off and let the roulette pick.

What it costs in Canadian dollars

Using the random video chat is free, with no time limit. Premium is billed in euros at €7.99 per week or €19.99 per month, and you can cancel anytime. Your bank converts the charge to Canadian dollars, so the amount you see depends on the day’s exchange rate and your card’s fees. You can also earn free days: invite a friend, or finish in the top three of the weekly chili ranking.

Games, chilis and Hot hour

Calls are more fun with something to do: try Truth or dare, Would you rather?, Rock, paper, scissors or Draw & guess, all of which sit below the video so nobody’s face gets covered. Playing, logging in every day and getting ❤️ all earn chilis 🌶️. Every night from 10 to 11 pm Spanish time it’s Hot hour and they count double; the app shows a countdown, so you don’t need to work out the time difference from your province. Spend them on superpowers like Rewind or Incognito.

Chat with confidence

Nobody you meet can see your IP address, because video passes through our server. Recording is forbidden and an invisible watermark discourages it. Reports are read by real people, and accounts that break the community rules get suspended or banned. Protect yourself too: keep your last name, address and workplace private, don’t move to another app just because a stranger asks, and never send money or e-transfers to someone you met on camera. Our safety tips have more.
