Video chat in the USA: meet new people live on cam
Whether you call it video chat, cam chat or a random video call, the idea is the same: you hit start and you’re face to face with someone new. La Ruleta Caliente brings that to the United States as a free, browser-based video chat for adults 18+. Meet people from your own state, the other coast, or anywhere else in the world.

From coast to coast, or across the ocean
On a free account, matches are random and global, so a chat from Ohio might land you with someone in Texas, Mexico City or Madrid. If you’d rather keep it closer to home, Premium has a My country filter that matches you only with people in the US, plus a distance filter for people nearby and an age range. In a country this big, the distance filter is handy: “someone in the US” and “someone in my area” are very different things.
English, Spanish or anything else
The site works in English and Spanish (as well as Portuguese, French, German and Italian), so you can use it in whichever you’re most comfortable with. The text chat translates messages automatically, which opens up conversations with people who don’t speak English at all. It’s a fun, low-pressure way to practice the Spanish you took in high school, too.
Pricing in dollars
The random video chat is free. If you want filters, Premium is billed in euros: €7.99 a week or €19.99 a month, cancel anytime. Your bank or card issuer converts the amount to US dollars, so the exact figure on your statement depends on the exchange rate and any fees your bank charges. You can also earn Premium days for free by inviting a friend or by finishing in the top three of the weekly chili ranking.
Hot hour and time zones
Every night from 10 to 11 pm Spanish time it’s Hot hour 🔥, when every chili you earn counts double. Because the US spans several time zones, that hour lands at a different point in your day depending on whether you’re on the East Coast, in the Midwest or out West. The app shows a countdown, so you’ll know when it’s coming. Chilis pay for superpowers like Hot flame, Rewind and Incognito — see games and powers.
Your favorite features, and staying safe
Most American users start with the basics — Next to skip, a game of Truth or dare or Would you rather? to break the ice — and add friends when they click with someone. Whatever you do, keep your full name, school, workplace and address to yourself, and be wary of anyone who asks for money, gift cards or crypto. That’s a classic scam pattern. Your IP stays hidden because video passes through our server, and reports are reviewed by real people. Our safety tips cover sextortion and other scams in detail.
